Rather than synchronizing from scratch over the EverGreenCoin network, a process that can take days on slower connections, you can download one file that contains a large portion of the needed EverGreenCoin transnational history (a.k.a. “blockchain”) of the EverGreenCoin public ledger. This file is called a “snapshot” and is a compressed file containing the needed files and folders.
Download the latest EverGreenCoin snapshot (MD5) to optionally synchronize faster.
It is about 800 MB to download, but will be a much faster way to become synchronized with the rest of the EverGreenCoin network. Before you proceed, be warned: Take extreme caution to NOT delete your wallet.dat file! Your wallet.dat file is irreplaceable without a backup.
This video demonstrates:
Please note: the folder mentioned in the above video is “%appdata%/EverGreenCoin/” or, otherwise stated, “C:\Users\Your Windows Username Here\AppData\Roaming\EverGreenCoin\”. Take extreme caution to NOT delete your wallet.dat file! Your EverGreenCoin software does need to be started once to create this application data folder.
On Mac: Your EverGreenCoin application data directory is: “/Users/Your Mac username here/Library/Application Support/EverGreenCoin/”
On Linux: Your EverGreenCoin application data directory is: “~/.evergreencoin/” or, otherwise stated, “/home/Your Linux username here/.evergreencoin/”
