Other Information: Hello I am Kim from the Green Initiative DAO and there has been a number of conversations on Discord about how we can use EGC within our ECO system. When members join our DAO they can travel three paths: Investment, Travel, Contributors. There a number roles that will emerge and people will be able to be rewarded with a mix of payment plus earning our general token.
We want to explore when people but say a general token to join the pay in EGC or our preferred option is that they provide three pieces of P of E for us to lodge and earn EGC and they get our token. As a starting point our DAO members are providing 3 pieces of work for us to lodge just to understand the process and see what the outcome is. Title: Growing Algae in the Swimming Pool

Other Information: Here’s the story… we had some monsoonal weather and the trees dropped their detritus into the swimming pool, mixed with bat poo and dead bugs and the pool not being cleaned for a few days it began forming algae. A few days later the algae was thriving as you can see in the photo, basically acting as a giant multilayered solar panel harvesting the suns energy and feeding on carbon from the air. As any good permaculturist… I saw the problem as a solution, and finished digging the swale/garden surrounding the swimming pool, to harvest all of that nutrient rich water and algae. Then one night we tapped the swimming pool, charging up the food forest garden with 15,000 litres of green goodness.

Other Information: My Dad just invested in a small electric wood-chipper enabling us to make our own mulch with small branches, which is what we really need for our garden at the moment. So yesterday we made what measured out to be 123 litres of woodchip mulch which jim calculated to be 30lb/13.6kg of CO2 sequestered. Not only that, the much is providing an important ground-cover in the swales, protecting the soil from water evaporation from exposure to the harsh direct sunlight. As these woodchips decompose they also add biomass creating more water retention in the soil while feeding the mycelium network.
