Other Information: I digged out 1x6x0.5 meters of sand, and filled back up with 30 cm of logs, bones and sticks. I will add about 10 cm of unfinished hot compost, then layer sand and garden compost about 20 cm before planting. Other Information: A moment like this always fills me with happiness and determination. For the untrained eye, might only see some arrowroot cuttings but in reality this simple bed of 1 meter broad and 15 meter long is a forest in itself. It contains 5 bananas, 5 timbertrees, 4 citrustrees, a mango and some biomass trees, about 10 papayas, about 10 pineapples, about 10 arrowroots, and a lot but a lot of seeds of ground nuts, maize, cucumber, beans, okra, eggplants, kale (skumawiki) Swiss chard and black nightshade. And I love to see the astonishment and happiness on the Participants faces when they thought we have planted so much already and we are just halfway. I simply love syntropic agroforestry!
