My projects are for creating awareness that we all can do our share to make this a greener earth. Step one of my project is to set the example, step two is to share the joy by word of mouth. One year ago I have pledged to never use a cellphone charging system that will not benefit the earth. Here are my photos of my solar only powered charging system. I have never plugged it into the grid since! My vision for this project is that if everyone would do as I have, think of how many greenhouse gasses could be eliminated from the atmosphere! as you see , when I park the car I leave the solar panel charging from the sun and when I need to charge the phone I’m using the sun only to charge it. I have managed to create lots of enthusiasm about this among my peers and acquaintances. If we all can spread the word, it will be not long before most of the world is on green solar phone chargers like me!!

Because it’s time to save the f**king world! This platform is currently only open to a small audience and it will be fully released in the coming months, I will keep you all updated. I gathered a bag full of rubbish and separated the recycling from landfill rubbish and disposed of it all appropriately. It was quite upsetting I must say to find almost as many dead fish and small shark carcasses washed up on the shore as I found plastics, this I assume is due to the close proximity of the boat ramp where people come back from fishing and throw the carcasses of their victims back in the water until they wash ashore. This made me think… maybe there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean well before 2050 if we carry on the way we are going. It’s time we unite and take action! I didn’t harvest as much from glass bulb because I created a compost jar, when it gets dry I will place the bulb containment’s in it. I will use the granule parts of soil for duckweed. I mixed the bulb a bit and removed the flower.

Title: Birthday Beach Cleanup

Other Information: For my birthday this month/year, I invited my sister to do a beach clean up with me and showed her how to enter her own proof of environment. As you can see in the images attached we found a lot of ‘nurdles’ in the top layer of sand which are little preformed plastic pellets that have not yet been made into anything. If left in the environment these little nurdles can create a lot of harm as they can easily absorb dioxins which then act as a little toxic pill for marine life who accidentally mistaken them for food. I plan to revisit this beach to try and find a more efficient way of collecting these nurdles and removing them from the environment… so far hands seem to prove more effective than a seive because you end up with a seive full of shells… let me know if you have any ideas, or if you know where I can buy a plastic magnet… 😉
