I had gotten the number of EGCs from here https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/evergreencoin Should have checked and verified this from the EGC Explorer. But the essence of the calculation and assessment still holds true – that EGC is way undervalued as per most coins and tokens in the market.

I don’t know too much about technical analysis either.…[Read more]

  • EGC = 10.36 million coins. At the current price of $0.55, its market capitalisation is… a puny $5.75 million?!

If one were to compare this with most other coins and tokens, EGC is massively undervalued. Even if it were to go to $5.50, the market cap is still `only’ $57 million. If this isn’t a reasonable opportunity to speculate on, then I…[Read more]

    • Current supply is 13,481,971 EGC. Not 10.36 million. But, other than that, I could not agree with you more! What was interesting is prior to the $1 price surge, 30 cents was the floor. So we went all the way from 30 cents to 1$ and then 50 cent floor. Skipping right over a 40 cent floor! I am no market expert nor day trader but, that seems to…[Read more]

    • great analysis MC. Upward we shall go!

    Okay. Thanks very much, Steven.

EDITED to add: The importprivkey command seem to work. But I also encountered this message in red:
Wallet is unlocked for staking only. (code -13)

I then changed the Staking and tried again. Same results.

  • A QT for Android…? Does that mean it will need to download the whole EGC blockchain first?

Another question: I presume the user will need to install the QT app first before he gets the EGS Manager?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to import a EGC address to my desktop QT wallet/node. I can’t find the answer so I’ll have to ask here.

Some weeks ago, I had created a paper wallet (with the private key, of course) using a program from GitHub that runs off an offline browser. Had transferred a small amount of EGC to this address just to play…[Read more]

What s thrilling moment for holders of EGC coins. The price had suddenly spiked more than 100%! 🙂

This is vindication for us supporters of EGC. Especially those who had continued to buy when the price was correcting. All the way down to 0.15 yesterday.

I’m playing safe by taking some money off the table. But I will still hold EGC (and run a…[Read more]

  • You’re welcome, Steven. I’m very much aware of the constraints faced by the developers of (now) smaller projects like EGC. And that you are doing most of the heavy lifting. Unlike some projects that have hundreds – or at least dozens – of members taking on some of the weight.

I’d say you and the core team have done a good job with getting this…[Read more]

  • It’s not exactly an awesome career previously, Steven, although I’m quite pleased with my present job at the engineering consultancy company right now. 🙂 My life had previously crashed and burned due to some horrible decisions I had made. Quite a nice day for EGC holders after a week+ of decline 🙂 But that slide had helped to shake out (very) short-term, with their coins going to those who came in at a lower level. I feel EGC should be at least 0.30 for now. But whatever the price, the more important thing is the related projects.

  • This “MC Cendana” is a handle I’ve been using since just a few weeks ago. Usually it’s “Ahmad Cendana”, “Mat Cendana” or “cendana287” since 2008. The Ahmad is indeed part of my name. Cendana (pronounced as “churn-dar-nar”) is a Malay word for Sandalwood. It’s the name of a hostel I had stayed in in 2006 of which I have very fond memories. But…[Read more]

  • I hope I’m writing this in the correct thread(?). It’s on my experience regarding installing a desktop wallet and sync, and a few suggestions on how to help improve the process for newbies.

I believe there are many others who might want to install a desktop wallet AND run a node. The help videos at the FAQ are definitely helpful. I’m rather new…[Read more]

This is great. It will make things more systematic.

By the way, I have learned a few things when installing the wallet based on the various guides. I will go to the Forum here and provide my feedback “soon” when I have the time. Including on how to help improve the information given on synching the BGC blockchain. I believe it will help more…[Read more]

*UPDATE: My heart sank just now when I couldn’t unlock my EGC wallet at the laptop. I have a certain scheme whereby passwords for everything is different but not difficult to figure out. Well, I must have diverged a bit on this scheme and couldn’t get it right. Tried a few different variations (20 attempts) before I finally found it. Phew!

I’ve decided to go up another level – to install a wallet on my laptop AND run a node. Not really to earn interest on the balance staked (which isn’t much right now) but because I want to be a part of EGC. Actually I was hesitant about running a node due to my very modest equipment – a Dell laptop from 2007 with just 3 GB of RAM. Then there was…[Read more]

Now you’ve made my day! I had received the Welcome message yesterday, and then this comment and the Friend request a few hours ago. Only now do I realise it, after going through some of the EGC videos at YouTube. Especially this one: “EverGreenCoin Interview with Founder Steven Saxton”. You are the Founder himself!

Had read what EGC is and I find the concept and objectives intriguing. It’s not yet another one of those me-too, half-baked projects trying to cash in on cryptos but something refreshing. I’ve bought some ECG at Bittrex just now when it was at the highest level of today. I might have overpaid (or maybe it’s actually a bargain), but I just have “to…[Read more]
